Ash L. Smith, CAWC, graduated from Stratford Academy in Macon, Georgia, and the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He married his high school sweetheart, Amanda, and they recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Together they have two children, a son named Ford and a daughter named Charlie. He has been licensed in the insurance industry for nearly two decades in various risk management areas. He furthered his insurance knowledge by receiving his accreditation as a Certified Authority on Workers Compensation. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, Exchange Club of Augusta, Augusta Country Club, University of Georgia Alumni Association, the Southeastern Warehouse Association, Aquinas High School Booster Club, and the Homebuilders Association of Georgia and South Carolina. He is a Past Chairman of the Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia. He currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, the current Chairman of Georgia Agency Partners, the Insurance Chair for the Exchange Club of Augusta, and the Chairman of The 12 Bands of Christmas which focuses on families fighting Pediatric Cancer.

He enjoys his time with his family at the Dunaway Hunting and Fishing Club and attending his children’s athletic activities and school functions. He and his family are members and attend Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church.
