John T. Gibbs III grew up in North Augusta and has made Augusta his home for the past 35 years. He graduated from North Augusta High School and The University of Georgia. From 1977 to 2005, he ran Gibbs Auto until it was sold. He joined Blanchard & Calhoun Insurance Agency in July of 2006 after working with Nationwide. John’s family consists of his daughter Lauren and husband Parker Dye, and daughter Katelyn. He is also a proud grandfather to grandsons, Nate and Gibbs.

He is on the First Tee of Augusta Board of Directors and is a member of the Exchange Club, Augusta Golf Association, Augusta Country Club, and Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church.
